When I set up RED&WHTE 6 years ago, it was with a straightforward ambition to source the very best interesting wine I could find and sell it with such enthusiasm, so that the person drinking it either in a restaurant or at home would understand a little bit about what the wine was about, and why the wine tastes like it does.
I have always worked with small producers, wine makers that make wine not just of exceptional quality, but also that reflect where they come from. It is a fascinating job, and I feel priveleged to be able to travel so much, visiting wonderful places and interesting people.
The current wine selection is a combination of old favourites; wineries that we have worked with for years, and new ones that we have recently discovered. As the wine buyer, I can honestly say that I am happy to recommend everything we sell, there is not a wine in our list that I do not believe is representative of the quality standards we set. However of course I have favourites, and these favourites change with season, mood and circumstance. This selection of wines are those that currently fill my domestic wine rack; the wines that I am particulatly enjoying right now. I hope that you enjoy them too!
