Bodegas Pittacum Tinto, Bierzo

£15.00  / Bottle
The Mencia grape is not often seen out of the Bierzo region in the northwest of Spain, an up-and-coming wine-making region next to Galicia. It is gradually becoming more popular as the attractive wines it delivers have great complexity of flavours. An interesting bouquet of raspberries and blackberries intermingles with some earthier, spicy notes while an undertone of wood is detectable. In the mouth there is a good concentration of ripe fruit, with some cocoa tones and sweet, structured tannins.
